Swazi The Torrent Jacket
The Torrent Jacket beats the weather, bends the wind and keeps you incredibly comfortable. It's made tough, yet is surprisingly lightweight, perfect for those wet, rainy days out on the farm.
The unique AEGIS WORX® rip-stop fabric is the heart of the jacket, shedding rain and creating a shell to keep the wind at bay, allowing you to work through the worst storm due to enhanced breathability. You can bet your bottom dollar it represents the best value raingear for money you can buy.
FUNCTIONALITY
The Torrent features amazing freedom of movement with offers exceptional functionality for farmer and anyone working out in the elements. It comes with a 2-way heavy duty YKK zip, so you can open from the bottom up to allow more freedom of movement for your legs when sat on a quad or horse. Internal to the sleeve cuff's, a neoprene internal cuff is added to offer a snug closure for your hand to stop rain or wind blowing up your sleeve. The outer sleeve cuff also comes with an adjustable velco cuff. A strip of highly reflective material is incorporated around the Torrent Jacket, to help keep you safe and seen in dark conditions from both in front and behind.
POCKETS
The Torrent has a 2 very large, deep pockets on the outside and 1 large internal chest pocket with zip to keep your notebook, phone or radio close to hand.
PERIPHERY HOOD
Last but not least - Swazi's legendary high periphery vision hood. With internal foam coated wire on the hoods outer rim so allow the hood to act like a visor to be moulded to fit your head to stop rain from reaching your face and eyes. There are 3 adjustable and lockable pull cords built into the hood to allow you to change the size and fit of the hood without impacting your peripheral vision.
Its waterproof rating is 20,000mm. The minimum standard for a jacket to be waterproof is 1,500mm so a jacket with a waterproof rating of 2,000mm would be suitable for moderate rain.
Its breathability rating is 10,000g/m2 24hr. Breathability, in a few words, refers to how well (or poorly) a fabric allows your sweat (or, in technical parlance “moisture vapor”) and body heat to pass through it from inside to out. 10,000g/m2 24hr is the ideal measure for more active use in high-output activities, including hiking, farming, hunting and mountaineering.
