Swazi The Wapiti XP
For the outdoors person wanting a little extra refinement in high-performance rain wear, Swazi have you covered with their Wapiti XP. Built from Swazi's soft 3-layered stretch AEGIS fabric, the Wapiti is both highly breathable and extremely waterproof.
Along with its classic looks, the stylish Wapiti XP coat performs impeccably well in all manner of outdoors, giving you the edge in either hardcore recreational use, or your chosen leisure activity.
The Swazi Wapiti XP has more features built into than any other Swazi garment. It is a high performance rain coat designed for hunting and shooting but can also double up as a smart around town coat too - perfect for both town and country.
FUNCTIONALITY
The Wapiti XP features amazing freedom of movement with offers exceptional functionality for the hunting/shooting/farming individual. Internal to the sleeve cuff's is a neoprene internal cuff is added to offer a snug closure for your hand to stop rain or wind blowing up your sleeve. The outer sleeve cuff also comes with an adjustable velco cuff.
POCKETS
The Wapiti XP has 2 generous, deep external "wet" pockets which have mesh eyelets at the base to allow any water collected water to easily drain away. These 2 external pockets also have bistable steal incorporated into the opening which allows the lightweight steal to pop out and open then pocket to its maximum for easy access when the pockets are full of gun cartridges or similar. The lightweight bistable steal is also removable from the Wapiti XP pockets too. Additional to these 2 external pockets are 2 integrated hand warming pockets near the chest and 1 internal chest pocket to store your map, phone or anything else you need close to hand.
PERIPHERY HOOD
Last but not least - Swazi's legendary high periphery vision hood. With internal foam coated wire on the hoods outer rim so allow the hood to act like a visor to be moulded to fit your head to stop rain from reaching your face and eyes. There are 3 adjustable and lockable pull cords built into the hood to allow you to change the size and fit of the hood without impacting your peripheral vision.
Its waterproof rating is 20,000mm. The minimum standard for a jacket to be waterproof is 1,500mm so a jacket with a waterproof rating of 2,000mm would be suitable for moderate rain.
Its breathability rating is 10,000g/m2 24hr. Breathability, in a few words, refers to how well (or poorly) a fabric allows your sweat (or, in technical parlance “moisture vapor”) and body heat to pass through it from inside to out. 10,000g/m2 24hr is the ideal measure for more active use in high-output activities, including shooting, hiking, farming, hunting and mountaineering.
